BLACKMAR INDUSTRIES evolved from the concept of problem solving. Years ago, a friend of mine made a humorous statement, "I've got the solutions, just bring me the problems." From that raucous declaration I found my calling. I am certainly no whiz at all things but I have enjoyed some success in problem solving.

The PROFIT system illustrates such a point. In the oil field, oil production is often accompanied with salt water that quickly becomes an expensive cost of field operation. All produced water must be returned to the formation or cleaned sufficiently to be dumped in the ocean.

The water carries small amounts of oil and suspended solids that plagues its disposal down hole. Formation plugging, high injection pressures, well workovers, personnel maintenance of equipment increase the cost of handling. Many systems have been implemented to address these problems. All have been somewhat successful.

The PROFIT system utilizes THE QUIET TANK NOZZLE and the BOSS OIL SKIMMER to clean the produced water in the produced water handling tank automatically with minimal personnel attention. Both entrained oil and suspended solids are removed to very low levels. Oil recovery can be sufficient to pay for the installation. Injection problems of plugging injector wells, high power costs for pumps and well workovers are materially reduced. Thus a two-fold recovery is accomplished materially reducing produced water handling costs.

The PROFIT system is proven through 7 years of performance in a major west Texas oil field.

QUIET TANK NOZZLE
The nozzle converts incoming water to laminar circular flow. The very quiet water can attain 50-75% of the systems theoretical residence time, enabling the oil to float and be skimmed.

BOSS OIL SKIMMER
The skimmer automatically makes an oil/water cut at the surface, removing the oils to recovery pump. The solids agglomerate with the oil or settle to the bottom.
